LOGISTICS DE LUKE INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX ABA, AND KIARA DE-LUKE ACADEMY HOSTED CABLE NEWS NETWORK (CNN) AND AFREXIM BANK ON 11/11/2025
On 11th November 2025, CNN in partnership with AFREXIM bank, visited the Logistics De-Luke Industrial Complex in Aba to assess the impact of steady power supply from Geometrics Power Ltd on various industries in the state. The industrial complex also houses Kiara De-Luke Academy (KDA), a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution. During the tour led by the Chairman, Chief Raymond Aliga, R&A Furniture & Interiors Ltd, one of the prominent industries in the complex, was visited. The company, an arm of Logistics De-Luke Industries Ltd, produces high-quality home and office furniture in partnership with an Egyptian personnel and specializes in the manufacture of exquisite furniture of the highest quality. The team explored the showroom and production lines to observe the production processes and the impact of constant electricity supply, which ensures steady production and supports the operation of heavy-duty machinery and other upgraded facilities within the complex.
In his address to the visiting team, Mr. Endi Ezengwa, CEO of Kiara De-Luke Academy, explained that the Logistics De-Luke Industrial Complex, in partnership with KDA, is providing the necessary human capital development to sustain commerce and industries within the sub-region, leveraging production processes at R&A Furniture, LDL Garment Factory, the Welding and Fabrication Centre Electrical installation and maintenance department, the Building and Construction department, and other activities within the industrial cluster. He further explained that the processes of these industries and services are aligned with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) and modular examinations, ensuring that the competencies of graduates are certified. He noted that upon graduation, students are given the opportunity to work within the industrial cluster, join other related industries, or receive support to start their own businesses.
Mr. Ezengwa commended the Federal Ministry of Education for the TVET Initiative project, which is providing resources to train a large number of unemployed youth across various trades at the Academy, emphasizing the importance of industry-institution collaboration in driving Nigeria’s economic growth. He stated that as the country strives to diversify its economy and create jobs, initiatives like these are crucial in addressing the skills gap and creating opportunities for the youth. He also recalled that the former Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, launched the N-Power programme in 2016 from the KDA centre. The visit also provided an opportunity to showcase the Academy’s state-of-the-art equipment and technology, used to train students in practical skills and equip them to excel in their chosen trades.
